Newborn Night Nursing

Expert Overnight Care for You and Your Baby

An RN-caliber newborn night nurse in your home overnight — so your baby is expertly cared for, and you actually sleep.

A Nana's Nest newborn night nurse (also called an overnight newborn care specialist or baby nurse) arrives at your home each evening and manages every part of overnight infant care — feedings, soothing, diapering, and sleep — so you can rest, recover, and wake up to a baby who's already been fed and changed.

It's the kind of support families across Washington, DC, Bethesda and Chevy Chase, MD, and McLean and Great Falls, VA turn to in the earliest, hardest weeks — and often keep in place far longer than they expected to need it.

What Your Night Nurse Handles Overnight

  • Feedings & burping — breast milk, formula, or a combination, on your baby's schedule
  • Diaper changes & swaddling throughout the night
  • Sleep tracking & soothing, with notes you'll review each morning
  • Light nursery tidying — bottles washed, laundry started, nursery reset
  • Feeding coordination with your pediatrician or lactation consultant's guidance
  • A calm morning handoff, so you start the day informed, not scrambling
"The best night nurses don't just get a baby through the night — they get the whole family through the fourth trimester."
